This mini journal came about as a gift for a friend who has helped me a lot. Long story short, back in September I had elective colon surgery, complications from surgery and I ended up with an ileostomy. My friend had different circumstances with similar end results. Her battle has been so much bigger than mine yet she has been there for me every step of the way, not once thinking of herself and her health situation. The journals I make for friends are always my favorite to do.
While I print most of my own, I do like to add fussy cuts on the backgrounds to add some dimension (which you really can't see from the pics). I also try to use scraps from other projects as not to be too wasteful. For the signature, just a variety of paper but the cover is a repurposed small gift bag.
An item I added at the last minute (which means no photo) was journal prompts inside an envelope that I slipped into a pocket. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to download the prompts.
